What is the difference between Sarku Japan and Sarku Japan - Teriyaki and Sushi Express?
Sarku Japan is a brand that is used for our food court format in shopping malls. Sarku Japan - Teriyaki and Sushi Express has a different menu than the malls. The menu is a combination of the Teppanyaki menu available in the malls and the sushi menu available in sushi stores.
How much will I need to invest?

The reasonable economics of owning a Sarku Japan franchise make it an attractive business opportunity. Estimated total investment ranges between $292K-$598K, depending on the size, condition and scope of construction that will be required.

What does the Sarku Japan franchise system include?

You will own and operate a Sarku Japan location and benefit from the use of the trademarks, recipes, menu, proven business model, and ongoing operational support.

Are any mall locations available?

We do offer opportunities in the mall from time to time. Once you have submitted an application and have been pre-approved, we can contact you when the opportunity arises.

How do I qualify to own a Sarku Japan franchise?

Restaurant experience is helpful; however it is not a requirement. We search for candidates with strong leadership, passion for customer service and transferable management skills in an entrepreneurial environment. You must also meet our capital requirements.

Will I need to hire an expensive sushi chef to operate my restaurant?

No sushi experience is required. Our streamlined sushi system is designed to train your regular staff to make high quality items that present beautifully and taste delicious.

How much profit can I expect to make?

We do not predict sales or profits for any location. Profitability will be based upon various factors including: the franchisee

How much is the franchise fee for a Sarku Japan franchise?

The franchise fee is $30,000 for each unit.

How much are the on-going royalties?

The royalty fee is 6% of gross sales. The marketing fee can be up to a maximum of 3% of gross sales.

How do I find a site?

The Sarku Japan real estate department will guide you through the site selection process. You will be ultimately responsible for finding a suitable site. We will either provide direct assistance or refer you to our extensive network of real estate brokers.

How long does it take to open a Sarku Japan franchise?

Once a lease for your franchise is secured and you have obtained all of the necessary permits, construction can usually be completed within 90 days.

Do I need to be involved in the day-to-day operation of my franchise?
At least one owner or a designated manager must be involved in each store on a full time basis. In addition, the owner or designated manager must be responsible for the day-to-day operations and management.
How long is the term of the franchise agreement?

The initial franchise agreement term is 10 years.

Is financing available?

Financing is available through 3rd party lenders. Sarku Japan does not provide direct financing.
